The author excels in constructing a vivid and immersive world. The lush descriptions of Vacari’s landscapes, from the shimmering Crystal Vale to the foreboding Shadowhaven, captured my mind. The book explores courage, loyalty, and the eternal struggle between light and darkness. One aspect I particularly loved was how the author portrayed the importance of unity and understanding. Despite the characters' diverse backgrounds, they set aside their differences to fight against a common enemy. This theme resonated deeply, emphasizing the power of collaboration. The narrative’s blend of politics, divine conflicts, and personal growth kept me engaged from beginning to end. I rate this book 5 out of 5 stars and highly recommend it to readers who enjoy epic fantasy.

T. A. McEvoy's "Rise of the Ancients" (Book 1 in Dragons of Vacari) is a thrilling dive into a richly crafted fantasy world filled with dragons, elves, humans, and the ever-present battle between light and darkness. The story immerses us in Vacari, particularly the city of Goldmoor, described as the "shining jewel" of the realm, where harmony among its inhabitants stands as a testament to unity and cooperation.

At the heart of the novel is the grand dragon riders selection ceremony, where the golden dragon Kimras partners with King Alex to choose the next generation of riders. This event, meant to symbolize the bond between species, is disrupted by Maldrak, whose opposition to female dragon riders exposes deep-seated prejudice and leads to his exile. Meanwhile, danger brews far beyond Goldmoor. In Flamford, the red dragon Zylron seeks vengeance, rallying dark dragons to overthrow Vacari’s peace. With mysterious entities interfering in…

Rise of the Ancients is an epic fantasy that T. A. McEvoy brings to us to add one in the fiction section of your bookshelves.

Vacari is where elves, humans, dragons and merfolks coexist. It has majestic and dark cities, aside from the celestial realm, the forests and the underwater, to name territories.

Peace seems to reign the land with the rulership of King Alex and Queen Jeane of Goldmoor until Maldrak's scrutiny is a threat to never underestimate. The battle is bound to happen. Mighty dragons Kimras and Amara are with the Eladrin Keisha, and the skilled warrior Ong, a human and her husband. The duo of Zylron and Glaciera are on the evil side being the adversaries with full and fierce determination.

Will the good side win and bring back the peace that Vacari once had and always deserve?

The author in her draconian profession in carefree fantasy…

Rise of the Ancients (Dragons of Vacari Book 1) by T.A. McEvoy | Goodreads

T.A. McEvoy's Rise of The Ancients (Dragons of Vacari Book 1) introduces us to the imaginary world of Vacari realm. We are now in Goldmoor, the main city, or, as the author mentioned, the shining jewel of Vacari. With its picturesque nature and the harmony and understanding between its diverse inhabitants.

With King Alex waiting for the golden dragon Kimras to coordinate and complete with him the dragon's riders selection ceremony. Which was crowned with the Eladrin elf Keisha and her husband, the human warrior Ong, safe arrival with the dragon saddles and lances.

A ritual demonstrating the level of mutual respect, appreciation, and unity between humans, elves, and dragons. The gathering is marred by Maldrak's objection to the presence of female dragon riders. An objection stemming from arrogance and hatred that eventually led to his…
