What was supposed to be a simple battle chronicle somehow became Vuarus's latest attempt to overthrow not only Vacari, but the editing process itself. Apparently the corrupted dark god decided the ending of the story was merely a "suggestion" and repeatedly attempted to rewrite his fate. Unfortunately for him, Talleoss—and the narration—disagreed.

This battle was originally featured in *Shadows Unveiled* — Book Two of the *Elves of Vacari* saga. The version within the novel was necessarily shorter due to the events unfolding throughout the chapter.
