While Princess Adrianna and the Thalaryn women summoned fierce ocean storms and charmed the serpents guarding the island, Aquilus led the Thalaryn mermen into one of the most dangerous assignments of the operation.
The deadly hydras surrounding Serpent's Lagoon could not simply be defeated.
They had to be drawn away.
Leading from the front, Aquilus coordinated the mermen as they carefully avoided the snapping heads of the monstrous beasts while luring them farther from the island. Every movement required perfect timing, unwavering discipline, and complete trust in one another.
Their efforts created the opening the Eladrin needed to rescue Queen Jeanne safely.
It was another reminder that courage often reveals itself through careful planning as much as fearless action.
