Where are the Dwarves?

The answer is not that they are absent, but that they dwell in realms and regions of Vacari where their craft can flourish without clashing against the living forests.

🌿 Vacari’s Heartlands: Not Their Home

Vacari is a realm of ancient forests, sacred groves, wild magics, and deep spiritual bonds to the land. The forests themselves are alive—many are sentient, pulsing with celestial energy. When they are harmed, the land itself suffers, and so do those attuned to it.

Keisha, bound deeply to Vacari’s essence, feels the breath and pain of the forests as her own. To her, and to the ancient spirits of the land, the balance must be preserved.

Dwarves are master builders, miners, and crafters—proud skills with a rightful place in the world. But their instinct to delve and reshape the land is incompatible with the enchanted forests of central Vacari. To treat such places as mere resources would risk calamity, and even the noble dragons would not allow such imbalance.

This is why the Dwarves never settled in Vacari’s wooded heartlands.

🏔 Where Dwarves Thrive

Instead, Dwarves found their homes in the edges and veiled realms of Vacari, where mountains and stone offered them strength and belonging:

• Afor – The Sandforged Dwarves dwell in Thar’Zimel, shaping strongholds from desert cliffs and ancient stone. Their craft endures where the desert meets the mountain.

• Etharyon – Hidden in the high mountains, citadels of Dwarves endure—less seen than the Moon Elves of Silvaraen or the citizens of Aerindral, but present all the same.

• Firornak – In the frozen caverns and icy ridges, Dwarves carve fortresses against the relentless cold, proving that even the harshest lands can be tamed by hammer and stone.

⚖️ Balance of the World

So while you will not find Dwarves in the green depths of Vacari’s enchanted forests, you will find them at the world’s frontiers—where stone, mountain, and metal await their hands.

They are not absent from the story of Vacari. They simply keep to places where their gifts do not wound the land.

Whether their kingdoms rise in power—or fall to the shadows that haunt Afor, Etharyon, and Firornak—remains to be told.
