The Nerathai

The Hidden Civilization of Nerath'Vaal

Far beneath the tranquil waters of the Cerulean Sea, beyond the treacherous currents of the Shrouded Trench, lies a kingdom few throughout Vacari have ever seen.

Hidden among towering black basalt cliffs, submerged caverns, and the remnants of forgotten ruins rests Nerath'Vaal, the ancient homeland of the Nerathai. For countless generations, this mysterious underwater civilization has remained isolated from the rest of the world, preserving its own customs, traditions, and way of life far from the kingdoms that flourish beneath Lysander's watch.

To outsiders, the Nerathai are often spoken of only in whispers and legends.

To their own people, Nerath'Vaal is simply home.

The Aquanar Sea Elves

Guardians of Wisdom Beneath the Waves

Hidden within the tranquil waters of the Cerulean Expanse lies the ancient kingdom of Luminaqua, home of the Aquanar Sea Elves.

Though they share the oceans with the Thalaryn Merfolk, the Aquanar are a distinct branch of the Elven peoples whose history stretches back countless generations. Choosing long ago to establish their civilization beneath the sea, they created a kingdom devoted not to conquest or political ambition, but to wisdom, healing, knowledge, and harmony with the natural world.

Among the civilizations of Vacari, few are as respected for their compassion and scholarship as the Aquanar.

Their greatest treasures are not measured in gold or precious gems.

They are measured in the lives they preserve.

Why Dwarves Rarely Appear in Vacari’s Heartlands

It’s a question that sometimes arises—especially from readers new to the world of Vacari:

Where are the Dwarves?

The answer is not that they are absent, but that they dwell in realms and regions of Vacari where their craft can flourish without clashing against the living forests.

🌿 Vacari’s Heartlands: Not Their Home

Vacari is a realm of ancient forests, sacred groves, wild magics, and deep spiritual bonds to the land. The forests themselves are alive—many are sentient, pulsing with celestial energy. When they are harmed, the land itself suffers, and so do those attuned to it.

Keisha, bound deeply to Vacari’s essence, feels the breath and pain of the forests as her own. To her, and to the ancient spirits of the land, the balance must be preserved.
